I have followed all the steps to download as a student S-Concrete, when I open the software the error message ''Error #380 Invalid Proprety value'' keeps popping up and I cannot do anything in the software. How can I make it work?
Hello, I have followed all the steps to download as a student S-Concrete, when I open the software the error message ''Error #380 Invalid Proprety value'' keeps popping up and I cannot do anything in the software. How can I make it work? I also have another computer I could use instead, but to do so someone would need to…

S-CONCRETE squat shear walls longer than 15m
Hello, Question about S-CONCRETE. I am designing some very long squat shear walls. I have found that in S-CONCRETE, whenever the wall length exceeds 14999mm, the box under Wall Reinforcing>Panel Reinforcing> "Include Vert Bars (N vs M)" is greyed out. I am referencing CSA A23.3-14. Walls with a height to length ratio of…

Creating Uniform Quadrilateral Meshes in S-Foundation
I have a simple problem but can't seem to figure this out on the S-Foundation interface. I want to mesh my mat footing with uniform Quad elements. The mat is a rectangle with size 11m by 10m. The smaller my elements gets, for some reason I don't get elements of the same size everywhere. I start getting smaller element…

Difference between rigid and flexible footings in S-Foundation.
I am trying to understand what S-Foundation is doing when you say a footing is rigid versus flexible. To this end, I have a simple 5m x 5m x 1m (thick) footing as shown in my attachment subjected to 1072 kN force. I run a linear static analysis with both flexible and rigid options. For the flexible case, I have set the…

Generating Notional Loads using Altair® S-FRAME®
Some building codes around the world require the consideration of notional factors to represent geometric imperfections in a structure, like out of plumb columns by inducing some lateral loads in the model. The notional loads are the product of all vertical reactions for the load case/combination and the notional load…

Electrical duct - S-Concrete creation
Hello, I was wondering if the S-Concrete Visual editor allows you to create your own concrete slab shape. I am trying to create an electrical duct bank (48x18" cross section with 12 x 4.5 diameter conduits). Is this something the program is capable of creating?

Uplift load on footings
I have a mat footing with three piers. Two piers are subjected to compression and 1 is subjected to uplift. Due to the uplift load, Sfoundation is indicating an error. I understand what is going on here. but is there a work around to make S Foundation solve this model? See attached pictures.

S-Frame Finite Element Results
Hello, I have this S-frame model in which I couldn't rationalize the results. I ran two analysis types: Linear Static and P-Delta. In my model, I have fixed the base, and applied a downward uniform pressure load everywhere. The linear static model provided reasonable / understandable results, but when I ran P-delta…

TECHNICAL INFORMATION ABOUT MODELLING CONCRETE WITH FIBERS WITH CFD-DEM APPROACH
Good morning, i'm an Italian Ph.D. student and i'm studying the effects of fibers inside the concrete at its fresh state. I would like to make a CFD simulation of this Non-Newtonian fluid, which flows from a specific volume to another to fill it. Inside this initial volume are dispersed randomly a certain number of steel…

how to achieve a similar sap 2000 mass source assignment in S-Frame?
Dear Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working with S-Frame for a project that requires seismic analysis, and I am familiar with the process of assigning mass sources in SAP2000. In SAP2000, we define mass sources that include contributions from self-weight, additional loads, and other mass…
