In S-frame design code check results, I get 25kNm weak axis moment capacity for W150x22 (W6x15) section whereas it should be 13.8kNm as per code CSA - S16:19. Anyone insights?

    Hi Merlin,

Just closing the loop on this for anyone who may have followed this request. We reviewed your model, and found that it was deemed class 4 I-shaped member undergoing weak axis bending. Currently, S-STEEL uses the provisions in (F6-3) of the AISC 360-16 to calculate this moment capacity for CSA S16, due to a lack of clarify from CSA S16 codes at the time. We'll look into improving this with the Canadian approach in a future release.
