Design of Six-phase motor with flux Motor
Hello Everyone I want to design a six-phase motor in flux motor but I don't know if that is possible. Because when I checked i was only seeing odd number of phases but six was not included and I am using flux motor 2024 version. Is there a way I can do this or is it not possible? Thank you

Error File in Fluxmotor
I am currently doing an Altair example from this PowerPoint, APPLICATION OF MAGNETIC FORCE EXPORT PER TOOTH: VIBRATION ANALYSIS FOR ELECTRIC MOTORS AT MULTI-SPEED. The motor in the "Initial_files" from the zipped folder is not running. When opened in FluxMotor the error message would popped up. Is there a motor like this…

How does the "No. comp. / elec. period" influence the over all simulation time
Dear Altair Team, how exactly does the "No. comp. / elec. period" influence the over all simulation time when including rotor position dependency. Regarding a previous question ("How much does the rotor position dependency increase the simulation time"), where I simulated an EESM, I would like to know how the "No. comp. /…

How much does the rotor position dependency increase the simulation time
Dear Altair Team, I simulated an externally excited synchronous machine in FluxMotor. The simulation time without rotor position dependency was around 6h. To get a more accurate result I switched on the rotor position dependency (1 el. period, No. comp.: 50) and it is running now for 3 days straight. Is this an unusual…

Running Jobs without GUI
Dear Altair Team, I'm looking for a possibility to run jobs, on my local workstation, in a queue. Is there a tool which allows me to queue my simulation jobs from Flux and FluxMotor. It should run the simulations by itself and, after the jobs has been finished, save and close them, so the licenses are free for others to…

Eccentricity macro
I've been trying to introduce eccentricity in my SynRM motor. I found a way using an Altair example (KB0120301), which initially ran successfully. However, the example is based on a permanent magnet motor that has 5 poles and 10 magnets. To adapt the macro to SynRM, I used FluxMotor to create the motor and then attempted…

reverse saliency , i.e. positive d-current in Flux or FluxMotor; d-axis inductance bigger than q-axis in spoke type PMSM
Hello, I am researching on the spoke-type PMSM. This motor has the specialty that it's inductance in d-axis is bigger than in q-axis. To my knowledge, this is mostly the other way around for all the other interior-magnet PMSM. I found an scientific paper which talks about this topic and states, that a positive current in…
