HyperWorks 2026 Student Edition License Activation Failed

Hello Altair Support Team,

I am a student using HyperWorks 2026 Student Edition. I am facing a persistent license activation issue and would really appreciate your help.

Problem Description:

* The software is installed on *D:\Program Files\Altair\2026* (not the default C: drive).
* I successfully obtained an activation key from Altair One / Student Edition portal.
* I activated the license using almutil_gui.exe (run as administrator).
* In the License Setup window, Local File shows as Activated (with a blue checkmark) and points to a file like altair_lic.dat or a generated .lic file.
* However, when I try to create a new session (HyperMesh + OptiStruct profile), the software either fails to start properly, crashes, or shows license-related errors.

Please use the free student edition in Altair one which includes Altair AI studio (previously known as Rapidminer studio) as per the following guide. Please see step 2,3 and 4 for detailed instructions on Obtaining your student edition license key, and installing and activating the software using the key -
