Invalid license

I generated a license and installed exactly following the instructions (https://community.altair.com/discussion/34207/instructions-to-access-the-free-altair-student-edition-now-in-altair-one#latest).

When tried to access the HyperMesh/Optistruct 2024.1 it displays “Invalid license”.

I am trying to remote access the machine the software is installed on, even accessing the software physically on the local machine I get the error “Invalid license”. Attaching the screenshots for license log for review.

The error , Feature not allowed to run on terminal clients indicates remote access, the student edition will only work on one computer and for direct access not remote access.

You can change the license to your current computer if this is the one you are going to be using,

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down and is only allowed a few times per user.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another if you have access to both machines as per –

    Dear Rahul,

Thank you for your reply! The machine I'm remoting in is a better one than the one I physically use. Is there a way to use the software remoting-in or do I have to buy an academic license to be able to use on remote computer? If so how much would an academic license?

Your university likely already has Altair licenses you can use, please have your professor request here if not - https://altair.com/educators
