Go to 2D panel and you can use Drag nodes/elements to create elements, but make sure you do this in glass fiber component.

Manufacturing ply thickness is ignored in freesize and whatever PLYMAN/TAMNF you provide will be carried to size optimization phase. 

You can provide different manufacturing ply thickness by editing the PLY>> TMANUF>>VALUE

I tried creating a new element like you advised with drag. I did get the element created however it creates two elements. I have given the settings as -2.5mm distance, drag 1. Even after equivalence it doesnt work. I am still having an unwanted elemnt, even if i try to delete , it deletes both the elements since it takes it as a whole one element

Hi Abhinav,

You can delete the elements and create single elements using create element (F6) just by selecting surrounding nodes.

that didn't work for me either. I cannot select the nodes on the ply. When I create these elements they are not on the desired ply.

i have sent two times sinces its shows session expired again and again.

apart from that, is it possible to check the energy absorbed by the structure?( internal energy )

I have downloaded it, but it didn´t somehow solve the issue, which I wanted.

If you try on some ply from the top laminat lets say PLYS_104101, it doesnt work out.

Please check the normals. 

If the normals are fine, I would suggest you to update the elements for plies.

maybe you assigned 'PLSOLID' while it should be 'PSOLID'
