Hello Altair Support Team,
I am an electrical engineering student at Kwangwoon University in South Korea. I previously used Altair PSIM 2025.1 with a free Student Edition license.
I am currently unable to use PSIM due to licensing issues.
1. Student License Renewal Issue
- My Student Edition license was issued on September 29, 2025.
- In Altair One Marketplace, the "Renew License" button is missing.
- Only the "Get License" button appears, which displays my old activation key.
- Under Managed Licenses → On Prem, the license shows "Activation Allowed: 1" and "Activation Left: 0".
2. PSIM License Errors
When launching PSIM 2025.1, I receive the following errors:
- PSIMPowerSupplyFeature – Feature not found (Error 9)
- Requested CT/TTF license not found for given customer ID (Error -29)
- Connection to the license server is lost.
I also tried activating my existing license key again through Altair License Utility, but received:
"Error activating license: License already exists in license store."
I checked the existing .lic file but could not find any PSIM-related feature names.
3. Software Download Issue
Additionally, the "Software Downloads" tab is missing from the Simcenter PSIM page in Altair One Marketplace. Only "Info" and "Try and Buy" are available.
Could you please help me with the following?
- Restore or enable the "Renew License" option for my Student Edition account.
- Verify that my license includes the required PSIM features and issue a corrected license if necessary.
- Confirm how I can access the Simcenter PSIM Student Edition installer.
