S-Calc custom section .tbl export is unsupported, way to get around this?

Hello, running S-Frame 2023.1 and S-Calc 2023.1, i have made custom parametric sections in scalc, input their properties via custom database writer into custom database and able to apply the section from the new database to members in s-frame then code check in s-steel. However id like to be able to see the rendered section in s-frame, for visual and orientation purposes. When i try to export a .tbl file from s-calc it says its unsupported, any way around this?

Hi MattPopper, thank you for your message.

Rendering custom sections is not currently available in S-FRAME.

However, depending on the section, it could be possible to visualize them on S-VIEW.

You can access this through S-FRAME if you click on Run> S-VIEW and then display elements as objects:

As I mentioned, it is not supported to 100% of sections, but it is a workaround for visualizing many of them.

If you have a more specific request, feel free to open a case and share your file with us so we can take a deeper look and provide more accurate suggestions.

thank you, yes in S-view it shows up but a simplified block section not representative of its actual shape and detail, for close to square sections it doesn't really give enough detail to get a good idea of its orientation. I did the merge style s-calc import to get all the properties from s-calc which works well, but it comes in under the default "uniform" database. How do I code check the "uniform" database? Other sections in my sframe model are from another database, id like to be able to code check all at once. Is there a way to go from s-frame to custom writer database?

Thanks yes I watched this on you tube and other vids of all of yours which helped me get to the point I am at now thanks, but looking to make further use of it with custom sections, if i could export to a .tbl file that would be great but it wont

related I have gotten quite used to taking outputs from s-calc and inputting into custom database writer to be able to code check everything under one database, in custom database writer is there a document somewhere you can share with me that explains what all the property letters stand for so I may input them manually from s-calc output in the meantime until I get the above sorted? The obvious ones I have figured out but some im not sure what they all stand for.
