Dear Altair Support Team,
I am currently using HyperMesh 2025 (Student Edition) under my college license. While HyperMesh is working, I am facing issues in connecting it with the OptiStruct solver.
As per the installation process, HyperMesh installs successfully with the hw_desktop setup. However, the OptiStruct solver is not included and has to be installed separately. I downloaded and installed the solver package, but HyperMesh does not recognize it. Even after reinstalling both HyperMesh and Solvers into the same folder, HyperMesh either fails to detect the solver or stops launching properly.
Details of my setup:
- License type: Student License (College Academic)
- Installed software: HyperMesh 2025 (hw_desktop)
- Solver package: OptiStruct (separate installer)
- OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
- Issue: HyperMesh does not connect to OptiStruct even after reinstalling; Solver appears in
C:\Program Files\Altair\2025\hwsolvers\scripts but HyperMesh cannot launch or link it.
Could you please guide me with the correct installation process for Student License to enable OptiStruct Solver Interface in HyperMesh?
If specific solver packages or version compatibility are required for student editions, kindly confirm.
