Hi everyone,
I’m modelling an axial-flux machine (AFM) in SimLab 2025. My CAD is imported as a STEP file and meshed inside SimLab.
I have already run three transient magnetic simulations successfully; the only difference between them was the magnet arrangement on the rotor.
After applying a new magnet pattern the solve now crashes. The log ends with a message about “ill-connected elements” detected in Coil1_1 (see excerpt below).
What puzzles me:
- the coil geometry and all mesh settings were not changed between runs;
- Mesh > Verify reports 0 errors / 0 ill elements;
Does anyone recognise this issue or have suggestions on how to track down the bad elements?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is log output.
