Hi,
I have an Assembly which contains the Helical spring, the actual length of spring is 31mm. During assembling process, we compressed the spring by 10mm that is 21 mm and assembled it in the actual assembly.
So, How to create a compressed Helical spring in Hypermesh Radioss user interface.

Thanks & Regards,

Usually you would represent the spring as a 1D element (you may use /PROP/TYPE13 or /PROP/TYPE23 and /MAT/LAW113) a function may be assigned for each degree of freedom representing force/displacement (stiffness) you may specify this function in the axial direction (Fct11) so that it does not pass through 0,0 such that at the initial condition of zero displacement there is already a compressive force.

In your case, if the k value of the spring is e.g. 10N/mm you can set up a curve (-10,-20; 0, -10; 10, 0) so that there is already a compressive force in the spring of 10N at time 0
