Can i build my own motor model (6 phase induction machine) in Flux without going through FluxMotor ?

I want to now if it is possible to build my own motor model in Flux or SimLab because i can´t find it in FluxMotor predesigned catalogue to applicate a Multiphysics optimization for it with HyperStudy or E-Motor Director tools.

Thanks for response.

    Hello,

I feel like you are not aware of all workflows possible with the different tools mentioned.

Starting from FluxMotor, you can already run EM- Thermal - NVH studies. These can be combined for a multiphysics optimization in HyperStudy using the dedicated export. Please note that a FluxMotor model is also the starting point of eMotor Director which will technically build a HyperStudy multiphysics setup for you.

Regarding Flux and SimLab, the integration of Flux in SimLab is very much advanced, especially for emotors. You can export from FluxMotor to Flux without any problem to run any test that is not yet implemented in FluxMotor. At this moment we do not support yet the export between FluxMotor and SimLab directly but you could rebuild a model quickly using the nice 2D EM solutions from SimLab. I recommend you have a look at the many tutorials available from the SimLab help to do this. We also have many videos available for multiple applications (YASA machine, IPM DOE, meshing…) on our Youtube channel.

In any cases, there are many ways to go around and to work with our tools, especially because you can access all of them with the same license. Please contact us at the support if you wish to discover more or plan trainings as well.

    Best regards
