Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of electromagnetic simulation without any boundaries? Buckle up because Altair Feko is breaking the mold with its revolutionary "no-limits" Student Edition!

For over two decades, Altair Feko has spearheaded high-frequency electromagnetic simulation, becoming the go-to choice across a myriad of industries, from aerospace to consumer electronics. Now, it's time for students and educators to experience the full spectrum of Feko's capabilities, allowing teams to optimize:

  • Antenna design, placement and co-site analysis
  • Radome modeling
  • wireless connectivity, including 5G/6G,
  • electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC),
  • radar cross section (RCS) and scattering analysis
  • bio-electromagnetics

Feko can be combined with other Altair tools to optimize system performance through machine learning and reduce modeling time for complex systems.

Empowering Students with Unrestricted Access

With increasing demand for engineers with electromagnetic simulation skill sets, Feko Student Edition has been a popular tool for students across the world.

Until now, the Feko Student Edition had limitations that were obstructing students to unleash the power of Feko simulations for learning advanced topics.

But with the Feko 2023.1 version onwards, students can now have access to the free “no-limits” Feko Student Edition and explore the full potential of Feko simulations!

Empowering Educators for Simulation-Driven Innovation

Traditional electromagnetic education often involves theoretical lessons and static exercises. But in today's rapidly evolving wireless communication landscape, there's a growing demand for practical skills that translate directly to real-world applications.

Feko’s simulation-driven design approach empowers designers to create, test, and optimize their ideas in a virtual environment before ever building a physical prototype. It's a game-changer that accelerates innovation, reduces costs, and ensures your designs are robust and reliable from the get-go.

What is this teaching course about?

The focus of the teaching material contained in this class package lies on the basics of electromagnetic simulation (with Altair Feko). It covers a broad spectrum of EM problems, including antennas, the placement of antennas on electrically large structures, microstrip circuits, RF components, the calculation of scattering as well as the investigation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The concepts are explained with examples and step-by-step tutorials after each section.

Duration

The duration of this course may vary between a few hours (illustration of the workflow) and up to 40+ hours – depending on the number of exercises, homework assignments, presentation, and discussion of results, etc.

Course content

  • General Introduction
  • Antenna Design Exercises
  • Antenna Arrays Exercises
  • Antenna Placement Exercises
