I want to analyze by applying a ring with hysteresis characteristics to the motor rotor.
Is it possible? If possible, what would be the best way to do it?
thank you

    Which Altair product are you using so that I can direct your question to the correct Community forum?

    I am using the student edition.

    Thank you for that response, however Altair has many products and I am asking you which one you are using?  One of the HyperWorks products?  Inspire?  SimLab?

    Hello Jonghoon Park,

    Altair's tool for considering the magnetic hysteretic property is Flux, which is a FEM tool that can solve the Maxwell equation.

    So, to create the geometry and mesh of the motor you have several ways:

    - import the cad file into Flux and generate the mesh in the tool;

    - use overlays, which are special "macros" to generate a parametric model of the motor;

    - manage the geometry in SimLab and create the mesh there to export the Flux model directly; only the application and physics need to be modified in Flux before solving the model;

    - create the model with FluxMotor to export the Flux model directly.

    For both 2D and 3D domains we offer the previous possibilities.

    If you still have doubts or you need help with the tool, you can open a new ticket in the support section, indicating Flux as tool, we will be happy to help you.
