Dear OptiStruct Users,

I have a question concerning DOF 1, 2, and 3 in the picture next to grid number 78029001. What could be the reason for their presence? I understand DOF 4, 5, and 6 can be between rigid and solid connections, because a solid has only three DOFs and eliminates 4, 5, and 6 from RB2 and RB3 if it is connected. Are there any general rules for where DOF 1, 2, and 3 come from?

Thank you.

    Hi Zdenek,

This is due to AUTOSPC card which automatically constrain degrees-of-freedom with no stiffness.

Can you check what are those grids connected to?

    Thanks
