Altair HHWU Error Code: -11

During a Free Trial license period, yet to be expired, there was a License Error that's impeding the software usage, returning Error Code: -11, as follows:

Why is it "attempeting to borrow" and what does that mean?

I get that the error is telling that it isn't able to borrow the license for that period because It'd expire sooner than the end date of the borrowing. But shouldn't it borrow while it's possible (meaning until the end of the license validity)?

Is there a way to "cancel" this borrow feature?
