Hi,

I know how to create single tension curve & define failure but I want to know following.

How to create for single material tension & compression stress strain curve. Which material LAW to use? Step by step guide/pdf help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Hiten

    Hi Hiten,

Please let us know for  what type of material you need to use this.

In Radioss you can use /MAT/LAW90 (This law describes the visco-elastic foam tabulated material).

This Material behavior in tension and in compression is determined by strain rate dependent curves.

For more details refer the hep document.

Also you can create support ticket if you need detail.

    Regards

    Harish

    Hi,

I want to use it for steel having different curve for tension & compression without any strain rate effect.

    Hi Hiten,

If its elastic plastic material, then we can use  /MAT/LAW66.

This law models an isotropic tension-compression elasto-plastic material law using user-defined functions for the work-hardening portion of the stress-strain (plastic strain versus stress). This law can be defined for compression and tension.

For more details refer the help document.

    /MAT/LAW66

    Regards

    Hi,

Under LAW66 I am seeing entry for yield stress & not stress strain curve. Please suggest.
