Impact Analysis using HyperMesh & Radioss
Hello all,
I'm performing an impact analysis in HyperWorks using Radioss profile. My query is regarding the postprocessing the damage area in HyperView.
Impact analysis -> impact of a composite plate using spherical steel ball
While setting up the solver deck in HyperMesh (Profile: Radioss), I have used the following control cards to evaluate the damage areas:
/ANIM/BRICK/TENS/DAMA/
/ANIM/BRICK/DAMA/
While postprocessing, in HyperView, I can see only the damaged elements (deleted elements) on the composite plate. I can't see the display of damaged area in the legends. My query is, how to measure the damaged area on the composite plate. Is there any control cards I can use to measure the damaged area ? Can we see the damaged area in the legends ?
Thanking you,

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,
/ANIM/BRICK/TENS/DAMA is only compatible with concrete material law (/MAT/LAW24). So it is expected you don't see anything with composite.
/ANIM/BRICK/DAMA should work if you have a failure criteria defined (like /FAIL/HASHIN for instance).
In order to answer to you as best as possible could you please answer to the following questions:
Thanks !

Hello Mathis,
Greetings!
Thanks a lot for your reply.
/MAT/LAW25 (COMPSH)
/FAIL/HASHIN
BRICK ELEMENTS (HEX8)

Rajesh
