Reading xMCF in Simsolid for non Seam welds

Current version of simsolid only supports creating seamweld based on the xMCF format other than the options available inside simsoild.

Is it possible to read Non-Seam welds as well ?

I have been able to use the "Apply seam weld" button to make welds that appear to be different than just a seam weld. For example a Filet weld, and a Bevel weld… but so far it doesn't seem to have any way that you can choose and say you want a filet or a bevel weld, it seems to just do what it finds is best for the application.

I have found success with applying my necessary weldments in my original modeling program CREO and then bringing that into sim solid, and then creating a 'weld from solid' so that the weld becomes identified in sim solid.

thats correct. As the current as is workflow in simsolid only supports Fillet or Seam welds you can name it.

I am using the same methodology where one can model the Bevel/J-groove/ Non-seam welds outside simsolid environment like hypermesh/Inspire/Creo and CAD tool. Create the solid weld geometry there and bring it back to simsolid environment like you just mentioned.

I am looking for quicker method like xmcf method where it supports seam or fillet welds to create welds instead of selecting the welds manually in simsolid in the current release.

Requesting developer based on the github reference can create non sim welds as well
