Hello

I installed altair edem 2025 on one of the new computer at the university and i keep getting this error when ever i try to access edem

please tell me how to fix this

    HI,

    The student edition license will only work on one computer, it is intended for use in a student`s personal PC for learning purposes only.

    Since your university has purchased licenses i.e. Altair units managed in Altair one, you can connect to that as per

    • Click Here for how to access licenses from an application.
    • Click Here for how to access the licenses from the Altair License Utility.

    Contact your IT admin about connecting to your university license server in the university premises if any.

    I am not using a student license. i am using the license server of the university.

    Just to note you can start EDEM with:

    edem —server "servername" to select a specific server. For 'servername' you can put the IP or name of the server. For the 'edem' command you will likely want to specify the full path to the 2025 install EDEM/bin/edem folder.
