that's great @User103551. Just please keep in mind that RapidMiner is still not considering OpenJDK to be 100% compatible with RM Server.

Notice that most of the things that OpenJDK isn't compatible with Oracle Java 8 are desktop integrations: Proxy settings and clicking on repositories to open these with the native browser. I remember that a few months ago we were discussing this. For the rest, there shouldn't be a problem.

Hi,
I've been always using OpenJDK for RapidMiner on Linux. It works flawlessly. You should also install the openjfx package on Ubuntu so that everything works.
