Hi Master,

So i have a mixing drum which will contain 1kg of particles and a generated at 0.5 kg/s. So from 0 to 1 second the particle are generated then at 1 second the drum spin for 9rpm but when the simulation gets at 3.5 second the particle disappear and being generated again but at lesser number of particle. This behavior will repeat every 1.5 second. I tried to redo the simulation 4 times but the same is happening. So am I missing something. I followed this youtube video.

Thanks!

    Hi MG,

If the particles are disappearing it maybe the graphics settings or the simulation config.  If it is related to this you can reset the settings by closing EDEM and deleting or renaming the simulation .dfg file.  When you then open the simulation it will keep your results but have reset all the settings in the Simulator and Analyst.

Otherwise particles disappearing maybe related to time-step, can you confirm the time-step value is set the same as the video.

With the particles been regenerated if it is not graphics related they would be generated by the factory, can you check the factory settings and the number of factories you have in the simulation.

    Regards

    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

I did rename .dmg file but it did not resolve the issue so I did rerun again and match everything with the video. The first 3.5 second works as it should be but after that the particles just kind of explode and randomly just scattered inside the chamber.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Okay I did rerun again but I run it in double not hybrid. When running in hybrid it makes those explosion and disappearing but in double it runs as what I expected. Maybe its a bug but thanks again.
