Hello,

i have a strange Problem during toplogy optimization. The Problem formulation is : minimize mass, displacement constraint 0,4mm. The optimization converged, but the displacement in the graph oscillate in a very high range. (see the attached pic)  And the displacement constraint is not respected by the solver.

what can i do to fix this?

Thank you very much

Regards

Andreas

What is displacement for static analysis? If in static analysis displacement is .4 mm then giving displacement constraint of .4mm will not yield appropriate output.

Give some relaxation value like if displacement is .4mm then give .8mm as displacement constraint.

Otherwise give a try with Min compliance with Volfrac constraint. Share input file for better understanding of your problem.
