abnormal deformation
Hey,
I started working with the software altair, so excuse me if there are some basic questions. I created a basic model which workes quite fine. Now I added some components and started a calculation. Unfortunately are there high deformations with high stresses at positions that are not heavily loaded. I made some screenshots.
It is a nonlinear quasi static analysis with Optistruct.
All the shown contacts are modeled by sliding.
First the bolt:
The bolt is positioned in the hole with a sliding contact ( right and left ). The Positioning is exactly the same and the component is forced more or less like the same. One of the bolt is doing that what I expected and the other one shrinks together. This does't make sense to me. Are there any proposals what might be the mistake?
Please let me know if you need more information.
The second abnormal deformation is shown in picture 1 and 2.
The red arrows are showing the force direction at the brown component. The Green component is not effected by the force, but its connected with a screw. So I made two RBE 2 elements. On the top of the brown component and inside the green component. It is connected with a CBEAM element with the correct direction.
The force is not that high and the material data is correct. But i cant explain this high forces and deformations. I assume it has something to do with the mesh maybe.
Are there any proposals as well?
If I forgot some information please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you very much!

Hi @Tobi
Is it possible for you to share the model file?
If yes, please use the file transfer link in my signature below.
