Update after a complete clean reinstall

Question

Hello, I have already carefully followed Steps 3 and 4, and I also performed a complete clean reinstall and license reactivation.

I removed the previous PSIM installation, deleted the existing Altair licensing files/settings, rebooted the PC, installed PSIM 2026.1 again, and reactivated my Student Edition license using Altair License Utility with License Store = System.

The activation completed successfully with the message: “License was activated and stored in System license store.”

However, PSIM still cannot create a New Schematic, and Help → About PSIM → Active Features is completely empty.

I also checked the newly generated .lic file, and it contains no PSIM-related or Motor/Motor Drive-related entries.

Therefore, this does not appear to be an installation or activation-procedure issue. Could you please check the entitlement/features assigned to my Student Edition activation key on the license server side?

If necessary, please escalate this issue to the licensing team for entitlement investigation or license reissue/reset, rather than referring me again to Steps 3 and 4.

I followed the Student Edition activation procedure, including setting ALM_HHWU=F, but PSIM still shows no Active Features and cannot create a New Schematic.

At this point, I would like to completely reset my Student Edition account/license and start again with a newly generated Student Edition license key.

Could you please:

* Deactivate my current Student Edition license key, and
* Delete/reset my current Altair One Student Edition account/license entitlement,

so that I can re-register with my university email address and generate a fresh Student Edition license key?

I would like to rule out a corrupted or incorrectly assigned Student Edition entitlement/license key.

If you need to use Altair managed licenses  (Academic edition) that your university has, follow the procedure here -

To use managed licensing only, set an environment variable with name ALM_HHWU and value T.

To use the Student Edition license, set the environment variable ALM_HHWU and value F to disconnect from managed licensing.

Once done please use either just the free student edition license or the managed licensing activation methods.
