Unable to activate Thea for SketchUp on new computer – Error Code 9 (Feature not found)

Hello,

I recently changed my computer and I am trying to activate my existing Thea for SketchUp Student/University Edition license on my new PC.

I have installed SketchUp 2026 and I am currently installing Thea for SketchUp 4.5.1448.0170.

I am using the same Altair One account and activation key that I used on my old computer. However, I receive the following error:

Feature: TheaRenderSketchUpFeature

Error Code: 9

Error Description: Feature not found

Thea was previously working correctly on my old computer. Unfortunately, I uninstalled Thea from the old PC before realizing that I needed to deactivate the license first.

Could my license still be associated with the old computer? Is it possible to reset or deactivate the previous activation so I can use my license on the new PC?

Also, is my Student/University Edition license compatible with Thea for SketchUp 4.5.1448.0170 and SketchUp 2026?

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
