I have a polyurethane screen panel. Using MotionView, I’m not able to reproduce its motion, and the panel also needs to interact with bulk material. Therefore, I am considering using OptiStruct as the solver. However, I feel that OptiStruct does not provide as many explicit analysis control options as Radioss. So I would like to ask whether it is possible to couple EDEM with the explicit solvers of Radioss, LS-DYNA, or Abaqus, and whether pre‑compiled coupling interfaces are currently available.
I tested it in SimLab, and it seems that Radioss's explicit algorithm is not supported. I'm not sure if I made a mistake in the settings.
The photo shows the particle-contact process on the screen surface. The screen surface constantly exhibits a periodic relaxation‑tightening reciprocating motion, and it also needs to interact with the particles. Is there any method — multibody dynamics or explicit algorithm — that could work?"
