Urgent: Cannot deactivate PSIM student license after PC format

Hi Altair Community / Altair Support Team,

I am a student currently using the PSIM Student Edition. I recently had to completely format my PC and reinstall Windows.

Because my old OS is completely wiped, I cannot access the License Manager to deactivate my license myself. Now, when I try to activate PSIM on my fresh Windows installation, it says my key is linked to another machine (my Hard Drive ID has changed due to the OS format).

Could an admin please help me manually deactivate my old machine from the system so I can use my license again?

Here are my details:

• Registered Email: 24142389@student.hcmute.edu.vn
• New Hard Drive ID: 0026_B768_53C0_4185
• Old License Key: LOCPW-0WCJ6-VFJXK-45NU1

I have some urgent circuit simulation assignments to finish, so any quick help would be greatly appreciated!

Your license key has been deactivated in Altair One, and you can now reactivate your student license using the same key.

Kindly note, The Altair Free Student Edition license is valid for use on only one device, it cannot be shared or activated on multiple machines at the same time AND Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
