Licensing oddly not working

Question

Hello dear all!

I am supposed to have licenses for fundemental altair products through my univesity. They do work to some extent, because i could log into the marketplace and download Hypermesh, but when it came to activating the Programm it wouldn't let me. When I start the programm, a License Setup Window appears and asks me to enter my username and password. When I do so, using the same data I did for downloading the programm, it refuses to activate.

The only important from the License Log is probably this:

[03/31/26 18:00:11]  System Error during checking out: Altair License Manager: License error

Feature(s): GlobalZoneEU, HyperworksEDU

Error Code: 9

Error Description:

Feature not found

[03/31/26 18:00:11]  Unable to activate

If anyone can, please help me!

Please check that your device meets the minimum system requirements as mentioned here - https://community.altair.com/discussion/39807/altair-hyperworks-hardware-and-system-requirements

Pls note if you are using the free Student Edition, It is a standalone license tied to one physical machine and does not support use on virtual machines. It is valid for use on only one device, it cannot be shared or activated on multiple machines at the same time.

The thing is, I did all these things and it still won't work. The other oddity is that my colleagues can all download and activate the program, but when they try to activate the license on my laptop it doesnt work, it results in the same message. Could my laptop be the problem?
