Request for license reset: Previous laptop is broken

이전에 사용하던 노트북이 고장나서 라이선스 비활성화를 하지 못하는 상황입니다. 새로 산 노트북에서 학생용 PSIM 2026 을 사용하고 싶습니다.

My previous laptop has broken down, and I am unable to deactivate the license on that device. I have recently purchased a new laptop and would like to install and use PSIM 2026 Student Version on it. Could you please help me reset my license so I can activate it on my new machine?

I have included an English translation for clarity, but I would appreciate it if you could provide your response in Korean.

Also, disconnect from the managed licensing, please set an environment variable with name ALM_HHWU and value F to disconnect from managed licensing and use the student edition license.

navigate to System (C:) > Program Files > Altair > 2023 > security > bin > win64 > gui. Locate and double-click on almutil_gui.exe. Click on almutil_gui.exe to open the Altair License Utility box and copy the license path highlighted in the image below.

Now open PSIM and paste the copied license path in the license setup window as shown below and click OK:

If that doesnt work,  set an environment variable (there are several tips online on how to set a variable in any OS) with

Name: ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH

Value: the path of the license file in the "Activation" tab of the ALMUTIL GUI including the license file name.

You will need to click the path under the license store, browse to the location and use that entire path as the value including the license file name

If the path is C:\Users\local\.altair_licensing	est\licenses and the license file name is LKJH.lic then the value of the variable will be - C:\Users\local\.altair_licensing	est\licenses\LKJH.lic
