startup of rapidminer was interrupted

Hi I am using Altair Ai studio 2026.0.6 on my Mac. all worked fine until I imported a big file and RapidMiner stopped working. I forced quit the program. Now, when starting RapidMiner I am getting the error message "The last startup of rapidminer was interrupted or did not complete completely.Do you want to enter safe mode? All extensions are disabled in safe mode."

So far I tried the following:

I uninstalled and installed RapidMiner
v2026
deleted all extensions and reinstalled them in RapidMiner
deleted the file

But - the problem still presists. I can only launch RapidMiner in safe mode. the launch anyway button doesn't work. in safe mode all my processes don't work anymore.

Please help!

When you say you tried removing and re-adding all of the extensions. After removing all of the extensions, and before re-adding them, did AI Studio still come up in Safe Mode, or does it start up properly with all extensions removed? If AI Studio came up properly with all extensions removed, presumably there is at least one extension which is causing the issue and you should be able to determine which extension that is by adding the extensions one at a time and testing if AI Studio comes up in regular mode each time.
How did you remove the extensions? On a Mac, the extensions should correspond to rmx*.jar files residing in the /Usrs/<username>/.AltairRapidMiner/AI Studio/shared/managed/ folder. It would be interesting to shut down AI Studio, move all of the rmx*.jar files away from that directory, then restart AI Studio and see if it still comes up in safe mode. If it does not, you can try adding the jar files back, either one by one or putting half of them in at a time, and observing when the AI Studio startup behavior changes.
I found a similar post in the Community, although it is fairly old: (https://community.altair.com/discussion/57849/cannot-load-rapidminer-studio-without-disabling-extensions). Based on the suggestions by @kayman , I added the above two points. You can also check for .lock files. My own AI Studio on my Mac is not coming up in Safe Mode, so I can't confirm that this corresponds to the existence of these files, however, based on @Kayman 's old comment, I would expect you would find these files somewhere below the /Users/<username>/.AltairRapidMiner folder. I would suggest shutting down AI Studio, then opening a terminal running the following:

find "/Users/<username>/.AltairRapidMiner" -name '*.lock'

and then removing any lock files it finds, then reopening AI Studio.
