Significant Differences Between RADIOSS and ANSYS AUTODYN Blast Results – Seeking Expert Opinions

Hello everyone,

I am currently performing numerical simulations of explosion in air using both Altair RADIOSS and ANSYS AUTODYN, and I am observing significant discrepancies in pressure results between the two solvers, despite using nominally identical input parameters.

I would greatly appreciate insights from anyone who has experience with blast or shock simulations in these codes.

Without more information, it is difficult to advise properly.

Would you share:

First, where are you monitoring the pressure? And how? What is the used time discretization (fine enough to capture the peak of pressure)?
How you define the domain in Radioss? Which meshing are you using? Which (Radioss) material laws and EOS and formulations are you using? How did you define outlets?
What is the initial state of pressure?
