Hello, I recently formatted my computer, trying to install the PSIM student version again finding errors with the license. I tried to disable the license through Altair License Utility
but it has an error and in the folder there is no license files.

If you are using the Altair managed licenses that your university has, Please see -
If you need to use the free Altair student edition (you do not need the license manager to set up the free student edition license) please follow the procedure here -

In the license usage tab this error appears related to my computer
The error "License was already activated using different HostID" means that the student edition license key has already been used on another computer or hardware setup. Normally, we would deactivate the existing license so you can reactivate it using the same key. However, I don’t see a student edition license key generated with your user email in Altair one. You need to follow the steps (step 2 onwards) here exactly in order to generate the license key and use the student edition -
You should be able to see your license key by logging into Altair One, going to the Marketplace, checking the Student Edition License bundle, clicking on the Student Edition License card, and then checking the Licensing tab.

Please note, Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.
You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
