I am trying to run a thermal simulation in SimLab Electronics Thermal. For some reason, both the thermal and CFD convergences reach 100%, but the Heat Balance remains stuck at 0%, even after 500 iterations in the log file.
My initial setup is quite simple: I am simulating a semiconductor module mounted on a heatsink (currently modeled as just a rectangular block) inside a delimited region. With this setup, I was able to obtain CFD results that worked fine.
However, my final goal is to run the simulation with the power converter placed in a fluid region other than air (specifically, transformer oil). At first, I tried to delimit the region where this fluid would be. Then, I also tested by removing everything around the converter and simply changing the fluid material in the solver settings.
In both cases, the Heat Balance stays at 0% and no results are generated.
I am adding a print of the log file and the geometry setup that i'm working right now.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. This work is part of my master’s dissertation, so any guidance would be extremely helpful.
