I am trying to do a SimLab course with Altair Edu, and I seem to be missing some menu bars. After I install, I can see the following menus:
However, after I activate my license, here is all I see:
Hello, thank you for the question. These missing menus are normal for a student license. Kindly try defining an empty solution. You should see all of the menus once the solution is created. Thanks!
An empty solution means a solution without any bodies assigned to it. You can create any solution, for example the static stress solution, and that should bring the menus back. For more information about working with SimLab, I would suggest viewing the Getting Started with SimLab eLearning available here: https://learn.altair.com/enrol/index.php?id=473. Thanks!
How do I define an empty solution? I am completely new to Altair, having been recommended the software at your stall at Formula Student. I am able to define a specific solution (e.g. static stress analysis), but how can I define one that is empty?
Thank you! That explains it, although do note that the link for the SimLab eLearning is what I am following, and it doesn't mention that this is necessary, hence my issue.
