Student Edition FEKO License Error
I downloaded the FEKO app but never received the license dat file, but I did receive an activation key which I have already entered.
An error occurred while checking out a license.
Altair License Manager: License error
Feature(s): GlobalZoneAM, HyperWorks, HWFEKOGUI
Error Code: 9
Error Description:
Feature not found
License Path: C:\Users\dafo4558\Altair\2023.1\security\altair_lic.dat
Altair Managed Licensing: License error
Feature: FEKOGUI
Error Code: -40
Error Description:
[LicID -1] (Err: -40) While checking out feature "GlobalZoneAM": Requested feature name was not found in licenses

Hi,
If you are using an activation key to activate the license, please delete the .dat file saved on your computer, as the system might point to the .dat file while attempting to activate the license.
From the error log you shared, I can see that the system is still searching for the .dat file in the security folder.
Please delete the .dat file and follow the steps mentioned in this video to activate the license using the activation key:

I have tried that, but I still get an error. There is no .dat file to delete. The activation code registered successfully but I still get this error.

Did you set the following environment variable?
Please do not use VPN when trying to use the software or activate the license.

I am still getting this license error even after adding that system variable. I am not on a VPN and have restarted my computer.

Can you confirm if you have downloaded and installed this particular "Feko 2023 edu Win 64" from the Student Edition Bundle (refer to the below image)?

That was the issue! Thank you that solved my problem!
Also, one more small issue:
I am having trouble updating my FEKO and am not sure what this network error is. I am not on VPN.
