Example to control stress output position in PBEAM

Overview:

When we use PBEAML, it is simple to output stress in pre-defined positions on the section,

As shown above, stress recovery points of C,D,E,F are pre-defined.

However, when we use PBEAM, we have to decide the stress point by YZ coordinate on the section,

We can define up to 4 points, C, D, E and F.

When we do not set them, the default coordinate is set to (0,0) for all positions.

Example 01: no definition

Since I do not set C, D, E and F. Thus, they are set to (0,0).

Since this is a pure cantilever beam, there is no stress at (0,0). Thus,

BTW, SAC or some chars shown in HyperView has the following meaning.

Example 2: Set C at higher position.

Download the model:

I set Y=1000.0 for C in this model.

Since this is a pure cantilever beam, the stress at this position should be huge.

And here is the result,
