Wrong IP adress

Hello,

So basically I'm on a Mac and need to use Altair Embed for school, so I sign in for the university offer from Altair. But when they ask me my IP adress I put the one from my Mac and not the one from the virtual machine I use. So I have everything except the correst licence.dat file. No one from above respond to my mail where I asked for a new license or some help. Any idea of what I can do ?

Your IP address (under any OS) has NOTHING to see with Altair's license.

Hi Thomas,

The MAC version of the student edition has been discontinued except for Inspire studio, Inspire render and Thea products.

If MAC is the only available machine, we suggest you install windows in parallel using boot camp, and use the windows version of the software. Apple support has all the details on this https://www.apple.com/in/support/bootcamp/. When you run it in windows you may need a new license file for the windows ID.
