License Error 6 and 9 when trying to run Radioss on Student Edition License

I've been using the Hyperworks 2022.3 version, and the license (student edition) appears to be activated on the program. But when I try to run Radioss, I get license error 6 and 9 (Unable to read file, and feature not found).

If I try to activate again through the file almutil_gui.exe from the 2022 version, I am not allowed to do so as the activation key shows to be already on the system.

How should I fix it?

Are you trying to run the model directly from HM, I believe that is the only method allowed in Student release (i.e. not from the Altair Compute Console gui)

In Hyperworks 2022 version, when you run the model, it directly exports the file to run it in the Altair Compute Console gui, and that's what I've been trying.

I have tried to run it in the 2024.1 version (I redownloaded it again) and I still have the same issue. I try to run the model from HM, it redirects to the compute console, and I get the same errors.

How could I fix it?

I have checked all the troubleshooting possibilities, and it seems that the file altair_lic.dat cannot be opened / is damaged.

Could this be solved? Would it be possible to get another license file?

You will not need a license file for 2024.1 you will just need to enter the license key in the almutil,

Are you able to run any Radioss or OptiStruct file, you can find many examples in the installation folder C:\Program Files\Altair\2024.1\hwsolvers\demos

Hi,

If I try to enter the license key I have in the almutil for 2024.1 it claims that "license already exists in store".

I am running a Radioss file, and it seems to run properly for a few cycles and then the license errors appear.
