Difference in SimSolid vs Optistruct result

Hi expert,

I am using Simsolid 2023 and Optistruct 2022 to perform a simple structural analysis.
While using Optistruct for as a solver, I have a tried a same problem with Simsolid but simsolid gives different results in stress plots.

Example problem:

For an instance I have tried a Simple Cantilever Beam with a point load problem in both Optistruct and Simsolid.

The Boundary Conditions and results are displayed in below image

The Developed Stress on the cases are different. Can you please guide as to take decision like which simulation is correct.
Can you please explain the reason for this difference.

    Hi,

    As you know, Optistruct result depends on mesh convergence. and Simsolid is mesh less technique.

    So If you change the mesh size and do reanalysis, the result will be different. Hence I suggest you to do a mesh convergence study for Optistruct run and find out which mesh size range the result is appropriate and does not change that much. that will be your mesh size for this analysis.
