Unable to export FEM file in HYPERMESH.

I'm trying to use HYPERMESH to export a FEM file for use in Optistruct, but it fails even if I follow the tutorial. In the tutorial, the Solver console appears to open automatically after exporting, but the console does not open automatically. There is no error message, it is simply that the FEM file has not been created. Please let me know if there is a possible cause.

Is your Hypermesh able to create/write any kind of file? (hm file, for example). Or does it fail in more writing processes?

If yes, it might be file / write / execute permissions.

Thank you for your reply.
It is possible to save as an hm file, and STEP and STL geometry files can be exported without any problems.

are you writting to a folder where you have permission?

Could you share the .hm file to check if there's anything wrong on the model? (sometimes you're missing a loadstep, for example)

I think you are writing to a folder with permissions, but I would like to check with a member of the company who is knowledgeable. I have attached the hm file that I am trying to export.

Hi Kobayashi2024,

I have opened your file and exported an fem file. All is working fine on my side. I would conclude that this is not model-specific, it is probably machine/installation/invoking-specific.

Either you are trying to write to a folder where you don't have permission, you are invoking HM in a working directory with no permission or some installation/machine specific issue.
