Simcoupler Crashes

When I launch simcoupler from matlab, matlab crashes. And I didn't get s-function simcoupler block.
I have setup simcoupler from psim. And it copied those files to matlab toolbox.
PSIM version: PSIM Pro 2023.0.0.371
Matlab version: matlb R2024a

We are aiming for PSIM v2025.1, which will be the version after the next release. That said, apart from the block not appearing in the library, the connection should work as intended with the aforementioned workaround.

  • Dear Zain ur Rehman,

Matlab 2024 should be compatible with PSIM 2024.1. Could you please upgrade your PSIM version and check again?

    Updated my psim version.

Upon simcoupler setup files are copied to matlab folder but s-function simcoupler never appears in blocks!

  • Hi @Zain ur Rehman,

Apologies for not including this in my first response. This is a known issue that will be resolved in a future version. In the meantime, the connection should still work if you follow these steps:

    - In MATLAB, Open an .slx file from the PSIM’s ‘\examples\Simulink co-simulation’
    folder.
    - Double-click on the SimCoupler block to open its property dialog box. Update the
path to the correct .psimsch file and save the .slx file.
    - Run the simulation in Simulink. Verify that:
    - The simulation was completed successfully.
    - Simview launches and displays the waveforms.

This serves as a temporary workaround until the library issue with the SimCoupler block is resolved.

How would I know if the issue is fixed?
