Using MATMDS with solid elements

Hello,

I am still new to the field of multiscale simulation with MATMDS Material Cards.

My model consists of solid elements and the material assignment is done via MATMDS from the Multiscale Designer. I have tried PCOMPLS and PSOLID as properties. Unfortunately, PCOMPLS is not suitable for my simulation because the material coordinate system does not match my fiber direction and cannot be adjusted. The Z-direction is always in the direction of the element normal, which cannot be changed.

For this reason I use PSOLID properties, but unfortunately the MATMDS results in Hyperview only show the homogenized results. The results for the separate phases (matrix, fiber) are either the same or empty (e.g. for damage).

Does anyone have experience with the use of MATMDS and solid elements for the simulation of non-linear material behavior and can help?

Tobias

    Hi Tobias
In the installation folder of Multiscale designer there is a set of demo files!
    Perheps they can guide you
