New MotionSolve interactive plots feature
Overview:
The new MotionSolve interactive plots feature is part of the new "MD_Tools for Compose" extension.
MotionSolve interactive plots feature enables to easily compare multiple MotionSolve results in either the time or frequency domain (leveraging either FRFs, FFTs, or CPSDs).
Pre-Requisite:
MD_Tools for Compose and MD_Tools for TwinActivate (*) extension must be installed.
(*) Note : upon need.
Usage/Installation Instructions:
Initialize "RotatingBlade" tutorial files (if needed):
- Open "MD_Plugin/Mdt4Compose/Demos/Mdt4Compose/RotatingBlade" folder.
- Define new Windows desktop shortcut to local "__GO.omd" Compose distributable.
- Rename new Windows shortcut as "RotatingBlade" and double-pick it.
- Wait for related MotionSolve jobs to complete…
- Review the new content of local "_9_Results/MODEL" subfolder.
Download/unpack attached ZIP file:
to review embedded unpacked video and on-line help abstract describing the following topics:
- Video describing the use of Compose.
- On-line help abstract describing the related functions.
Note : MotionSolve interactive plots can be accessed from either dedicated Compose or TwinActivate "MD_Tools" menus or command lines.
Leverage either Compose or TwinActivate GUI:
- Go to: MD_Tools -> MotionSolve plots -> select either:
- Transient time-histories
- Linear FRFs
- Transient FFTs
- Transient CPSDs
- Answer interactive dialog to select existing MotionSolve XML jobs
- Answer interactive dialogs to select available result type, name(s), component name(s)
- Answer interactive dialog(s) to select available reference
Note 1 : equivalent OML statements can be build by leveraging the following statements with automated on-line help:
<oml> md
<oml> ms_th , ms_frf , ms_fft , ms_cpsd
Note 2 : full PDF on-line help can be accessed from either Compose or TwinActivate GUI:
Go to: File -> Extensions -> MD_Tools for xxx -> Details -> View Documentation
