Additionally, what is the path to your Windows userhome?

You can find out by opening a command line and using this command:
    echo %userprofile%

also i am not an engineering student so i need more coherent information the tackle this problem. step by step if thats possible.
    Hi,
to identify your problem, we have to have a look at the error message, which is in the log file.

On windows the log file named rapidminer-studio.log is located at

    C:\Users\USERNAME\.RapidMiner

I found a rapidminer-studio.log file but its name is rapidminer-studio.log.lck and it seems empty.
Is there maybe a file called rapidminer-stuido? Sometimes windows just doesnt show the ending.
