HyperWorks CFD 2021.2

1) Volume mesher creates negative jacobian elements

  • Due to this issue, acuprep will fail.
  • Work around: Turn off the Imprint layer option via Mesh ribbon > Mesh control group > Advance options.
    • Fixed in 2021.2.1 (Released on 15th January - available on Altair connect)

2) FE geometry remesher creates very skewed elements

  • Remesher will create very skewed elements, specifically after wrapping. Due to this issue, Volume meshing can fail.
  • Fixed in 2021.2.1 (Released on 15th January - available on Altair connect)

3) Fe geometry remesher destroys ids of the surfaces

  • After remeshing a FE geometry model, existing boundaries, mesh control and boundary layer selection will be lost. Due to this issue, volume meshing can fail.
  • Work around: After surface meshing, update all setup again.
  • Fix will be available in 2022 release (Expected to release in April 2022)
