HyperMesh: How to edit RBE3 weighting factors

Altair EmployeeThe weight factor in RBE3 Elements can be used to control distribution of forces applied on dependent node to be transferred to independent nodes.
One can edit the weighting factors of an RBE3 to simulate different scenarios.
To edit the weighting factors of an RBE3 in HyperMesh, you can use the following steps:
1. Double click the RBE3 element to open the Edit Elements Window
2. Click on the icon to the right of Node Table:
3. Per default the weighting factor of all idependent nodes is 1
4. Open the list, that shows DOF and select Weight Factor
5. Click on the lightning symbol to select Calculate Weighting Factors by Distance
The table now shows the newly calculated weight factors:
