Fillet and Lap Elements Script

Overview

Find fillet and lap weld elements adjacent to elements with Life value. They would export them as "*.fil" file and use them in nCode for further fatigue analysis. This script will write find and write out respective files for lap and fillet welds which can be used in nCode as it is.

Usage/Installation Instructions

1) Create an element set in HyperView with label "weld_set" which includes both lap and fillet elements.

2) Contour "Life".

3) File >> Run >> Tcl/Tk script >> run attached script.

4) It will ask the user to save lap weld and fillet weld "fil" files respectively.
