Overview

This tool bar provides several functions which help to fulfil naming conventions and to synchronize names and ids of comps/props/mats. renumber/rename props by copms, mats by props and vice versa add and truncate trailing or leading strings from name create props to existing comps create comps per prop (useful using direct property assignment) export and reimport of name/id relation

240830 (August 2024) on nextGen GUI as Extension

22.01 (August 2024) on classic GUI

Usage/Installation Instructions

Just call the script e.g. by using the button on the scripting toolbar. A new tab on the browser area appears with all available functions.

 

Limitation

This tool has been developed satisfying customer requests, so some tools support only a small number of solvers and can be easily enhanced if necessary.

Use according attached version on nextGen or classic GUI.

    This tool is very useful.. Could you also tell me how to automatically remove/replace special characters from all assemby/component names so that hm file is compatible with Abaqus solver.

    Useful tool. Other pre-processor could have achieve this easily. 

    Altair should implement such tool/capability by default into all HyperWorks products.
