Reinstall HyperWorks Bundle (Altair Student Edition) in another device

Hi Everyone,

I'm a student and I'm actually using the 2022 version of HyperWorks Bundle (HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph etc.) for studying with the Altair Student Edition License. Unfortunately my PC is recently slowing down, so I need to get a new one. Can I reinstall the same version of HyperWorks in a new PC or I'm forced to install the 2023 version instead? Do I need to submit a new license request? Thanks everyone!

Although the software might be the same, with same installer, you will need a new license file, because it is tied to the machie you have requested.

Hi Lorenzo,

You will need a new license file for your new machine as the Altair Student Edition license is a node-locked license – a license that will work only on one machine whose Ethernet ID was entered while requesting.

Please request for the student edition license for the other computer again here https://studentedition.altair.com/ with the correct Ethernet ID.
